Built in 1837, this magnificent Queen Anne Victorian home surrounds you in the comfort and the ease of another era. Far from “stuffy,” Ruby’s Cove features an eclectic décor with a relaxed and inviting vibe. Think chandeliers, rich colors and fabrics, combined with a whimsical lightness and extreme comfort. The rooms are cozy and the beds outrageously comfortable and you won’t be able to resist lounging around in the salon, library, or outdoors on the wraparound porch. There are no TV’s at Ruby’s Cove, but free wireless and music is always available.
Once you’re here, you’ll be spoiled with the use of free bikes, beach gear, a shared bottle of wine or fresh growler of beer from our neighbor, Greenport Harbor Brewing Co, tasty treats, and a little fridge with some complimentary drinks and munchies. Visit Gallery
Of course, no trip to Greenport would be complete without a visit to a few of the North Fork’s world-famous Long Island wineries. There are more than 50 wineries/tasting rooms within a 30 mile radius of Ruby’s Cove.
Don’t have a car? No problem. Come out on the LIRR or Hampton Jitney from Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Queens. Greenport’s railroad station and bus stop is just a 5-minute walk but, if you wish, we’ll even pick you up for free.
For our friends in New England, you can take Cross Sound Ferry from New London, CT which docks at Orient Point, just 8 miles away from Ruby’s Cove and if you decide to leave your car at home, we offer free pickup from there as well. You can even come by boat and tie up at Mitchell Park Public Marina, just 3 blocks away.
At Ruby’s Cove the optional breakfast is served at 10 AM. This gives the guests time to enjoy a morning bike ride, a walk or run, a swim off the dock at the end of our block, or to just sleep in.
After all, you ARE on vacation!

Coffee, yogurt and fruit are available early. Vegan and vegetarian meals are happily prepared if requested in advance.
